Doesn't matter....at the end of the day, can they play?

KLove? Yes, pls.

Rubio? (not even white - he's hispanic, lol) - Yes, pls.

Pekovic? He's Serbian(?) Isn't he?

Jose Barea? Hispanic.

So Stiemsma and Love are perhaps their only U.S. Born Caucasian players. And if they acquire Varejao as been rumored?

Andy V is Brazilian.

Hispanic is a group, not a race. you can be black and hispanic. you can be white and be hispanic. those players that are hispanic are white with spaniard descendants. the term hispanic means originating from a spanish-speaking country.

Brazilian is not a race either. Just letting you know since you're trying to argue with the concept of my thread.

Not trying to argue with your thread, man, but some of us chose to see people for what/who they truly are rather than this American-based color category born of slavery.

lol

Think that's funny?

 ;D

But seriously I served with many people who pointed out to me that they were a lot more than just a color category of white/black/brown, etc.

To some, such categories matter, and will always matter. To others they don't.

i think its an interesting fact and interesting decision making by the wolves. The NBA is the blackest league with 75%+ of players being black, so having 10 white players on a team is surprising to me.

Everyone who has replied as though they were offended by this thread read way more into the topic than I did. I think it's a neat observation and certainly unlikely given the statistics. I don't think it was purposeful by the T-Wolves but it couldn't have happened in a "whiter" place. Minnesota is pretty...white-bread :)

Noticing that someone is white or black isn't racist or even bad. It's just noticing. Let's have people get off their high horses and acknowledge that it's a pretty strange occurrence in todays NBA.

Good thread lightspeed. TP.

Seeing as how they are trying to get players to want to play in Iceland this may not actually be a terrible idea for them.  I hate the sun. I'd way rather play there than some desert or some place I have to live in air conditioning all my life. I think I could do ok in a southern location for a couple years, but for the bulk of my life there better be some snow or I don't want to be anywhere near it. If there was a pro team in Vermont I'd be very interested. Reruns of Newhart for everyone
