This is the Free Agency thread. There are many like it but this one is just for the free agency period. Here is how it works:
1) After the draft is finished, every team must be down to 13 players max by noon on Friday, August 3rd.
2) Free agent period starts at 12:01 PM on Friday. All transactions are first come, first served. No editing posts.
3) If a team acquires a free agent that puts them at 14 players total, they must simultaneously waive a player to get back down to 13.
4) Each team can make 2 free agent moves max, and only one move per day. Maximum one on Friday, one on Saturday, one on Sunday.
5) Periods are Noon-Midnight on Friday, then Midnight to midnight Saturday and Sunday. Ends Midnight on Sunday.
6) This thread is only for free agency picks.
Here is how posts should look:
Ex 1, if a team has less than 13 players:
Bulls take Patrick OBryant
Bulls release no one
Ex 2, if a team has 13 players already:
Bulls take Patrick OBryant
Bulls release Adam Morrison
Ex 3, if a team has more than 13 players (Friday morning only):
Bulls release Bonzi Wells
You can also release players in the main thread.

Lucky: Not to complicate things, but there's no reason why a claimed free agent can't be subsequently traded to another team, is there? Just wanted to clarify.
Answer: There is nothing prohibiting trading them.
So we have 13 so we're good but if we go over that in a trade we need to cut? Conversely if we add a FA, we need to cut.
Correct, any move, be it 2 for 1 trade or adding a FA when you already have the max amount of players must be accompanied by a cut to get down to 13.
