Great bench guy who never really had a chance with the rotation. Any thoughts where he might land since he obviously isn't coming back to us.

Actually surprised he has not been picked up by anyone. He may have been waiting on the C's; but since they got Green and Courtney Lee he should have read the writing on the wall. He could well show up at Camp; but that would mean we would be waiving Joseph - big mistake in my view. Joseph and Marquis are very similar players but Joseph can already shoot better than Marquis.

Why would he just show up to camp?

he probably won't get picked up by anybody

If we have a spot on end of bench I'd want him since he could give us emergency minutes at 3 spots, vet min of course.  If not I'd expect him somewhere, good defense, "glue" guy.  Might be a $ thing, if joseph looks good enough we can sign him to rookie contract, if danny thinks we have enough at pg/sg/sf with additions of green, dooling, jet and lee

it has nothing to do with $ and everything to do with marquis not being the same player he was before the injury. we only took him last year because the free agent class was horrid.

if joseph can do the same things at 3rd string wing that marquis can do for less pay than it does have something to do with $
I'd guess danny is leaving spot open for buyout big during season but if there was space at vet min i'd welcome daniels back BUT if joseph shows enough and can be signed on rookie deal than that would make more sense

It's not just the money though.  Joseph is a lot younger and Daniels is about done physically.  They may be comparable players today but that will change if Joseph gets really good someday.

Quisy is done since the injury. Loved him in green but time to move on. That said, I wouldnt say no to a camp invite for him either. He isnt a bad 15th man option if we need one.

If he plays another full NBA season I will be surprised. :-[

oh yeah i agree on that one, if joseph can do what marquis can now, he'll only get better and can be signed to rookie contract, he's a bit bigger physically so could help out
ainge has done a pretty good job with picks around 50 so fingers crossed

would like to see marquis get his 10 years nba in

Have to believe that Marquis' body just doesn't have what it takes to make it through the long season any more, sadly enough....agree with the sentiment that he is finished....too bad, as he would have been a good addition to the roster.

Would think Joseph has the inside track at this point...

RIP Marquis. :(

Headstone:
The man got it done for us when we needed him. For that, he will always be a Celtic"

This little tidbit can be found on his wikipedia page and makes him all the more loveable:

Tattoos

Daniels is noted for having several tattoos inscribed on different parts of his body. The tattoos range from a detailed map of Florida that covers his entire back, a caricature of a man blowing his head off with a shotgun on his lower right arm, and Chinese characters on his other arm which were intended to represent his initials, but translate to English as "healthy woman roof". Also, he has an entire bible verse on his chest, which he used to read to his paralyzed grandmother.

he's gotten chances but he missed layups, had a broken jumper nd only occasionally played well he lacked energy to be a consistent contributor i aint pressed for dude to come back at all lol
