PP KG why no Celtics on the Olympic team

It seemns that Celtics have been traditionally slighted on the Olympic teams. Apart from Larry has there been any other Celtic on the USA Basketball Olympic teams?

Rondo is the only guy on the C's thats deserves Olympic team consideration and I think the current USA basketball decision makers have tried Rondo's game and decided they didn't like it.

KG was on da 2000 olympic team nd Pierce was on da 02 world championship team dat finished in 6th place. lol they hated Pierce nd didnt wanna invite him back til bout 06 when Doc Rivers convinced Calangelo Pierce matured then he had elbow surgery nd was out da consideration for da 08 team

pierce deserves to play there more than iguadala. and i think rondo deserves to be a guard more than harden or even deron williams after last season

After Larry in 92, we had Dominique at the FIBA world champions in 94, which is when he was a Celtic.
On top of that, as Celts Fan 92, we also has Pierce on the 2002 team.

Also they would both probably say no. Pierce was hurt during the end of the season and would have sat even if invited (like Wade did). KG shouldn't play because of injury concerns but no doubt they could have used him with the complete lack of height.

Rondo is too good for the olympics anyway. Let's give our PG the summer off and let him tear the year-rounders up next season :)

dat team sucked so bad lol just da worst roster eva Pierce brought it but it was so many past their prime players nd guys who didnt belong idk how successful they expected to be wit Raef Lafrentz on da squad

Stats from the 02 team, Pierce getting nearly 20 a game and shoot 50% from 3 is impressive. Surprised by his low FT %.

It was but Pierce was as much a part of the problem as anything.

He had a shoot first, second and third mentality. He was immature and not close to a team player. He couldn't take coaching. And was a major problem child with a huge ego.

There were only 3 guys 29 or older on that team. The problem wasn't age, it was youth, ego, lack of leadership and too much "children of Allen Iverson influence" on that team.

not only did Pierce lead dat team in scoring, he was 2nd in assist nd shot 48% from da field nd 49% from 3. nd wat Iverson influence? da 02 worlds team flat out sucked lol Raef Lafrentz, Antonio Davis, Jay Williams, Ben Wallace, Andre Miller are names dat dont belong on dat team. nd dont forget about JO averaging 7ppg on 42% shootin like i said garbage roster somebody had to score da points
