PSU just doesn't get it. I think other big schools might not either, but PSU is the worst example right now.

It won't change overnight

What is it that we don't get?
If it has to be explained to PSU (trustees) then they probably won't ever get it.

The Board of Trustees should be completely replaced. The entire culture of the school is sickening, and the only way it can be fixed is a clean house, top to bottom. Everyone there was complicit in what happened in one way or another, and all of them benefited. Screw them, screw them all.

Of course, this will never happen, because FOOTBALL.

One of the trustees has appealed to the NCAA essentially arguing that neither the NCAA nor Erickson had the authority to do what they did.  The trustee was joined by 3 other trustees and the original trustee has threatened to sue if the NCAA doesn't overturn the penalty.

and that appeal will be DOA.

NCAA by-laws provides that the president of member institutions has the power to bind the institutions to agreements with the NCAA.

If you dont buy that then read up on Agency law to see wheter or not the president of a corporation has the power to bind the corporation. Appeal = DOA

Lawsuit = DOA.

Not if the NCAA didn't perform an investigation or usurps its authority.

Couple of things -

1. NCAA did not have to perform an investigation. They accepted PSU's own investigation.

2. NCAA did not usurp its authority, PSU agreed to the sanctions. It was a plea deal. Courts are not in the business of undoing the agreements of adversaries unless you can prove fraud.
