If they have a line up of :
Chalmers
Allen
Wade
Lbj
Bosh

We can have :
Rondo
Terry
Pierce
Green
Kg

Have terry on ray , pierce on ray , and rondo on wade.
And on offense chalmers ray and wade can't guard rondo terry pierce.
That's the best we can do ...

I think DA put together a roster built to beat the Heat.

I feel really confident about this team against them. Against anyone really. The mixture of defense and shooting can really hurt teams. Add in so many guys who can play multiple positions well.

Can't wait to opening night. I want everyone in green to have to watch the Heat get their rings, and remember that feeling in May.

Their best players are better, but we've got multiple top defenders to throw at each one.

Lebron:  Pierce, Bass & Green
Wade:  AB, Lee, Rondo
Allen: Lee, AB
Bosh:  KG, Bass

also, Mia needed a big and only added a washed up stretch 4 (Lewis) while we added four bangers:  Collins, Melo, Sully & Wilcox.

Boston is the deepest team in the league.

I dont understand this thing about Lee being a top defender.

IN fact hes not a good defender at all.

Brandon Bass was a sieve on D before he came here, and it was especially painful to watch him at the beginning of the season. Look at him now. Spoiler alert: he's a pretty dang good defender.

Bookmark this thread and come back to it in May. Bet you that Lee sees a healthy improvement in his DRtg.

Terry wont start. Thats why they got Lee. Terry is more useful off the bench.

Depending on how Miami plays Allen, if he runs screens like he did here, Lee on him chasing, if he's just spotting up, you play Rondo on him, saves him on the offense, and he plays the passing lanes really well.

Need Terry on the bench to get points, thats how you beat Miami, you can't beat the starting 3 (other two guys don't really count), but if you can beat the bench your in the game.

Im actually thinking that Chalmers may not be there next year. Allen told Miami he hatted the guy. So if there is any truth to that, he may not be there. I could see Miami run this line up in stead. And this is only if they move Chalmers and don't get a replacement PG.

Wade
Allen
James
Bosh
Haslem

Rondo
Lee
Perice
KG
Wilcox

well, they wont start Terry, but I see the 4th quarter lineup being

Rondo/Terry/Pierce/Green/KG

thats alot of offense, and matches up pretty well with the Heats "small ball lineup"

I was thinking this as well. Not Chalmers not being there, but Chalmers not starting. What need does Miami have for a PG? Lebron and Wade are the ones getting all the assists on that team.

You give up some speed at the bottom with that line-up, but maybe they don't care. Maybe this setup was Riley's pitch to Judas, even. There's a lot of minutes for him if they play like this.

I wouldnt be surprised. they talked about this on the radio after rays press conference and how Spoelstra kept blabbing about how they "view themselves as a team without positions' regarding Ray starting or not..almost seems like they are saying "we can start 2 shooting guards"

I didn't say terry would start he SHOULD come of the bench but I was talking about crunch time minutes and this is our best line-up there...

Their most valuable players were black and white and are paid by Stern.   We will never have that advantage against them.

LeBron being the best player in the league means advantage Heat.

Now if this were baseball or football it wouldnt matter. But basketball is so dependent on having the best player..

Why did we have success against LeBron in Cleveland? 32 year old Big Z was the 2nd best player on that team in 08.....Going against our juggernaut team. In 2010 Mo freaking Williams was the 2nd best player and KG exposed the hell out of Jamison.

Im not saying we cant beat the Heat. But as long as they have LeBron.......and players more than a couple steps about Mo Williams they should be the favorite for now.

The Celts took Miami to 7 games with a banged up Ray and PP with Pietrus, Dooling, Stiemsma, and Hollins off the bench. Taking that into consideration along with the current team on paper the Celts have the clear advantage over Miami. Problem is NBA games aren't played on paper. You also gotta factor in that Miami did not have Bosh the first 4 games of that series.
Wade was also an injured non-factor in that series, much as I hate to admit it.
People forget that a healthy Wade the year before avg 30 against the Celtics.
And when he was by himself in 2010...didnt he basically win a game by himself?

I think Bradley will make things tough for him. Thats all we can ask from him.

I HATE to be that guy...

but The Refs cost us game 2...But one could make a case that the refs cost the Heat game 4. LeBron had two dreadful calls against him to end that game.

Sadly, LeBron owned us in game 6 and 7.

I dont want to hear the Refs excuse when we blow a 3-2 lead and the refs arent the reason we lose the last two games.

Now if you want to blame the refs for game 7 of the finals in the 4th Qrt vs. The Lakers??

Im right there with you.

wade is overrated. he's turning 31 soon and has no 3-pt shot. with anti-flopping rules in place, i'd like to see what he will do.
