According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Hornets, Suns and Wolves are "nearing agreement" on a three-team trade that would send Robin Lopez and Hakim Warrick to the Hornets, with Wes Johnson and a first-round pick going to the Suns.
No word yet on what the Wolves get out of the deal. It's a bit surprising that the Suns would sign-and-trade Lopez, who is a restricted FA, as they have no other true centers to backup up Marcin Gortat (as things stand, Channing Frye may be pressed into C duty). Details of the contract should emerge soon but it seems like a solid addition for New Orleans, who needed a legitimate center to start or at least backup Anthony Davis/Ryan Anderson. The move will also appease Eric Gordon, who recently lamented the Hornets' lack of "another big guy to guard the lane a little better."
