Green, Sullinger, Lee, Melo. More training of Bass, Rajon, Bradley. Its the best part for me. I know this group will be like junkyard dogs.I think if they can start out on fire they may cover hc. We'll know not soon enough for me

more than that, Rondo going to the Vegas Summer League shows that he is excited about the prospects and could not wait to see the young kids that will be running with him next season. Rondo is going to put amazing assist numbers up with this young running corp.

Running with Rondo next season will be Bradley, Green, Lee, Jet (more as a trailer), Sullinger, Joseph,Melo, and Christmas.

Plenty of youngsters to carry KG's bags and prevent him from pulling a muscle lifting a suitcase.

Yeah.  KG is a great mentor if a player buys in.  However, if KG perceives that a guy isn't 100% committed, he'll shut the dude out.  From what Doc says, KG isn't big on second chances.

It looks like Melo's problem is in the classrooms. With how he improves dramatically from his freshman to sophomore year, I'm pretty sure Melo will listen attentively.

Just to kill all the "Fab is dumb" replies before they get here:

One. He was doing classes at the collegiate level in a foreign language.

Two. All he probably had to do was show up in class and he'd have passed being a "student-athlete".

His maturity might be a problem but his school grades do not mean much otherwise in my opinion.




I think the time it takes for him to learn man defense would tell us how fast a learner/how hard a worker he really is.

Also something you can look at right now, as many of our fellow celticsbloggers have pointed out, is how alarmingly fast he's improved considering he's only been playing basketball for 6 years.

Well, Melo has said all the right things so far and has a good reputation for working hard on the court (if not in the classroom). 

I think KG's presence could be one reason that Danny rolled the dice on a hardworking big man with center game over perhaps a more talented player in PJIII given some negative reports on PJIII's focus and effort.

Keep in mind all the stories that came out last season about JJJ absorbing every lesson that KG would teach.  Ryan Hollins, too, seems like KG's little lapdog.  It's good for KG to mentor someone, but the player still needs to be able to execute.
