Frankly I never really liked what Collins brings, not very skilled. But he is a big body and a vet and will give 6 fouls, so overall it was a good move.

Seems like the depth is pretty much set now at every position.

I dont really like him either but i am more than excited about the signing. A legit 7 footer who plays pretty great defense and will play even better defense alongside KG. Started on a playoff contender this season (even though there were injuries) brings great experience and is a bigger more intimidating body than a guy like steamah was. I think he will be great for us in his role of ten or fifteen minutes a game.

Very much doubt he gets off the bench on a regular rotation.

I feel the same way, underwhelmed but it fills a need.   Who knows if DA is done?    But there were not many quality bigs out there.

He is huge old dude.
  He'll clogg up the inside good , and push and shove ,lean on Howard, Bynum, Hibbert, Gasol , Lopez , ect be physical and WEAR them down. Just a big ol body to get in the way of the opposing team trying to work the ball inside. If Wade flying though the air its him, it would be like a nat, hitting a brick wall. SPLAT.

He will be good at causing pain and suffering to HEAT inside players.

Pain and suffering sounds like good medicine for Wade and James.

We need bigs to inflict it without remorse and often.

He'll do.  He has a legit NBA skill, which is more than a lot of the guys who were left.

I still would have preferred Birdman, though.  He's just a better player in almost every aspect.
