See, I wouldn't want to count on Quis as the backup (even third-string) PG. I get where you're coming from, but I also believe pretty strongly that Dooling *will* return. He played just well enough last year to justify coming back, but not so well to justify earning any more than the vet min, so all things being equal, I think he returns.
Have I heard Dooling mentioned as a guy who's looking to get into coaching when he retires? If so, who better to play for than Doc?
So, I think Dooling returns regardless, and with JET in the mix and AB hopefully ready before too long, I'm not that worried about having a guy who can run the point. Could always use Pierce at point-forward for a few minutes a game, if absolutely necessary. Which is why I'm more concerned about getting the best backup 3 we can, versus getting a mediocre guy a the 3 who's also a mediocre 2 and a mediocre 1.
