I think you'll see Scal the analyst, unless he signs in Europe.  I wouldn't mind grooming him for a coaching spot if Doc thinks he has the smarts, though.

We need Scal in the studio, replacing Donny Marshall.

I agree 1000000000%  I'd rather replace Donny Marshall than have Dwight Howard.

I am a fan of Scali as an analyst to groom as Tommy's eventual replacement.

But if he has Head Coaching in him, I would be fine using him as an assistant.

He more than has the smarts.  For a guy so limited athletically, he played 3 positions competently defensively when called on.  I think he'll make a good head coach someday.  Role players like Woodson, McMillian, Karl, Rivers, Williams, and Sloan make great head coaches.

I would rather bring on Dooling as an assistant if he is ready to hang them up.

He seemed to be a good motivator and he had a good connection with Rondo.

I would think that Scal still has another couple 2-3 years left in him as a player.

I think it'd be premature for him to retire this summer.

WOW, well, judging from scals play, we sure could use a guy to tell our rookies how to avoid rebounds, stand in the offense corner waiting for a pass to shoot his patented airball 3, and tell of his "invisible contributions"......!

No offense to the original poster...I just haven't ever seen any skills from scal...except a few highlights from his NJ days....probably before he got 5 mill a year......from US.....
