aris fans are pretty crazy. but panathinaikos fans are better!!!

as for this happening in the usa: NOT A CHANCE. personally, i think flares/etc are stupid but the songs and general energy created in euro games simply cannot be replicated here. i think the general fans that go to games there are a little more fanatical than the ones that go games here.

Obviously NBA owners and city fire marshals aren't going to allow bonfires inside the arenas.

The passion of the fans is incredible.  I can't imagine NBA arenas ever being that wild.

I apologize to all the European and international Celtics fans out there, but those scenes always creep me out a little.  It's just a bit heavy on the tribalism for me.

I think American fans are just as passionate, we just don't express it in the same way.

We sing at concerts, not sporting events.  Fires and throwing stuff on the court are safety hazards and you will get thrown out or arrested for trying it.

Either way I think it's funny when people say they are better fans than other places.  (Unless it's about NY, they are the worst haha) My guess is the loudest, most exuberant fans are just the drunkest :)

The fans in Greece support their teams like very few others
Unfortunately oftenly we cross every boundary and it gets very dangerous (ask Childress)

Partizan`s fans also create amazing atmosphere, Maccabi`s Nokia arena is very "hot"

Nope.  The old Garden was nothing like that.  It was smoky from cigarettes though.

It did get loud there but only when the team was playing well or needed a ralley.  No endless songs.

The old Gaaaden was hot, sweaty and smelly (in May/June).  Probably the only similarities.

TP's for all the awesome videos.

The European Leagues bring a new definition to "Home Court Advantage."  I imagine it takes true cajones to be able to compete in such an intense setting.  Imagine walking into that kind of an atmosphere as a player on the visiting team.
