He wore #32 in college (which obviously isn't available), #11 with the Magic, #6 with the Nets, and #5 with the Rockets.  My guess is he continues that trend of going to a lower number in a new location and chooses #4.

Jason Terry has already chosen #4. Numbers 32 (Kevin McHale) and 5 (KG) are unavailable. As for the lower numbers... 00, 1, 2 and 3 are retired and 0 is taken (AB), which reverts his likely options to 11 or 6 going on Courtney's past decisions. I think he'll probably choose 11 like he did in Orlando.

My bet is #11 like with the Magic.

I think the bigger discussion is what is to happen with all of the retired #'s? Assuming Pierce, KG, and Rondo all have their #'s retired, there isnt many left to go around for future players. 23 out of the first 35 numbers are gone. Time to let some be worn again.

Lee will be wearing #11 with the C's:
http://www.nesn.com/2012/07/courtney-lee-will-wear-no-11-for-celtics-new-boston-guard-tweets.html

Quote
Courtney Lee wore No. 5 on his Houston Rockets jersey the last two seasons, but the newly acquired Celtics guard could not wear that number with Boston, since it belongs to Kevin Garnett. Lee's previous number with the New Jersey Nets, No. 6, was unavailable, too, as it belongs to a certain bejeweled center from Celtics lore. Lee therefore chose to wear No. 11 and tweeted his decision Wednesday. The number is in honor of Danny Rumph, a former starting point guard for Lee's alma mater, Western Kentucky, who died in 2005. Check out Lee's announcement regarding his jersey number in the tweet below.

@CourtneyLee2211 Just picked out my jersey# seen 11 was available so had to get. Was one of my bestfriends jersey # that passed away. R.I.P Danny Rumph

Who's Ray?

Sounds familiar, but can't quite put my finger on it.
