What could a package of Green,Lee or Bradley and Sully get back ?

Just for fun, if all 3 play up to their potential in the first half of the season, what caliber of player could a package like that get the c's back in return ?

I guess my point is that we now have a bunch of young trading chips(Bass,Bradley,Green,Sully,Lee) if we want to try to land a big time player in return around the trade deadline .

Well, I'd hate to part with those folks in a trade, but Dwight Howard would be a fool if he wasn't looking around the NBA at ALL of his OPTIONS.....not just LA or BKN.

If the man TRULY WANTS TO WIN, Danny is constructing a pretty good core right here....

Don't forget bass and terry. All of these guys have reasonable contracts and they could be contributors to a winning team. Its funny that I have seen two threads like this pop up today cause I had this exact thought when I woke up this morning. A package of these players could being back Rudy gay, josh smith, Stephen curry, or maybe tyreke Evans. It really depends on how the season starts for some of the fringe playoff teams. They may be willing to blow things up come trade deadline. The only thing the c's lack is an expiring contract

A low level star (say a notch or two below All-Star level) or an All-Star with a bad contract.

Teams rarely give up better talent than that for role players. One of those youngsters would need to show star-talent to give Boston a realistic shot at a superior individual talent than that.

Either way it does kinda Seem like Danny has gone into a hybrid, Competing/Collecting Assets mode

true but keep in mind Jet, Lee and Bass signed to play here... flipping them in 3 months would make other FAs more skitish about signing here if they think they'll get traded as soon as they're eligible.

I think right now, not much.  There's too many question marks.  How well Jeff Green bounce back from heart surgery?  Can Bradley bounce back from surgery and prove last year wasn't a fluke?  Does Sullinger have back issues? (at least 10 other teams thoughts so). 

But I think that's Danny's idea.  Amass assets, develop them, and then eventually package some of them for bigger pieces.  I think we're probably a year or two away from that though.

At the 2014 trade deadline, maybe less so.  But that said, I don't think Danny signed these contracts to trade them in the future.  They'll be tradeable, but that's not the intent.  The intent was to add depth to protect against injury and aging, since depth has been a huge problem the last couple of years.  We're still a little short on frontcourt depth, but so is most of the league.

What about Green, Lee, Bass and Bradley

The same exact player. Adding one more role player isn't going to suddenly convince a team to give up a superstar.

Bradley's potential is Joe Dumars level and Green's potential level is possible Sixth Man of the Year.  If they look like they are hitting their full potential, would you want to trade them?
