I've been thinking about this for a week. I really like the team on paper that we have. But with out question we have trade chips, not only in quality (or potential) but in salaries, which is one of the hardest things to do in the NBA.
I'm reading a lot of "you can't get all-stars for average players" stuff here, and that is totally wrong. You can and it happens all the time. If Josh Smith says I'm not resigning with Atlanta than they have to move him for something. They will not get an all-star in return, that almost never happens. They will take on contracts that match up and picks, or they will get nothing.
IMO we are in a really got spot no matter what we do, but teams win with all-stars, that is the NBA.
