i think you only keep christmas off the summer league..you already have enough projects in Joseph, melo..you need to get a legit rotation big...

I believe they keep Christmas, sign Dooling and add a big with the BAE

Rondo/ Terry/ Dooling
Lee/Bradley/ Xmas
Pierce/ Green / Joseph
Bass/Jordan Hill/Sully
KG/Wilcox/Melo

I think they will bring back Dooling as a veteran leader, as well as an insurance policy for both the 1 and 2 spots.  I think Christmas will make the team on a partially guaranteed deal (so, they can cut him in December to open up a roster spot, if he isn't progressing enough).  And I think they will use the BAE on Jordan Hill, once they miss out on Stiemsma.

yeah..i think dooling returns...gives them another PG and a great locker room guy...xmas will be the project guy...good practice player..might get lucky...

the last spot is interesting..with the BAE in play, they can really go out and get someone decent that could help...

I am not sure they need "a pure center"..i prefer more of a 4/5 guy..not a lot of size a the 5 spot in the east really

Yeah, this is why I like Hill.  He is a long, athletic 4/5 who can play some defense and rebound, and he fits in with the experienced youth movement Danny seems to be going for with guys like Green and Lee.  He is a guy who hasn't broke out yet, but has the potential to be a steal, but even if he plays at his current level, he is a very useful player on this team.  He also could really compliment a guy like Sully.

I think we all know who is here already:

Rondo
Bradley
Pierce
Bass
KG

Green
Terry
Lee
Wilcox
Sullinger
Melo

With the remaining 4 roster spots I would go

Dooling
Daniels
Joseph
best available big who is actually a center (Darko, Steamer, Birdman, etc.)

I really think there's a huge value in bringing back Dooling and Daniels.  Both know the system very well and are used to getting DNP-CDs and then stepping in when need be.

I think Daniels could be very valuable playing 5-10 mpg while Bradley is out behind Lee and Terry and again in the playoffs as a wing defender when people get into foul trouble.  I think Dooling is a really nice option in case Rondo or Terry miss a few games here and there.

I don't think someone like Christmas or Smith gives you that type of security.

And with that type of security at the 1-3 that they provide, I think we're fine to spend a roster spot developing Joseph for the season.

I think Hill would stay with the Lakers rather than take the BAE from us, they can use their rights to him to give him more money.

I think it will depend on how their roster shakes out with the whole Howard thing.  If the Lakers don't have a role for him, the C's could likely sell him on minutes.

Daniels actually got PT in the playoffs and actually had himself a few good games.  Considering that his role would be identical this year (not playing most of the time, but being asked to step in when injuries or foul trouble call), I think he's ideally suited for this role.

I actually think Doc is unfairly maligned for his supposed mistreatment of rookies, but do you really think that if Bradley or Lee got hurt in the playoffs and had to miss a couple of games that Doc would play Christmas?  No.  He'd play everyone else 40+ mpg.  With Daniels you get a guy Doc trusts who we can actually utilize.

I would have to agree, with your final 4.

Dooling will serve as a nice insurance policy behind RR,AB and Terry.

Daniels has been with the team a while and gave some solid minutes in the playoffs. If Pietrus isnt willing to take such a reduced role/vet min then daniels is the guy. Another option could be Sam Young who is still out there.

Joseph definitely gets signed

Big man for the last roster spot
a few ways to go ways to go
unproven younger guy(but not a project we already have melo)
                 or
vet looking to jump on for playoffs
                 or
    Journey man

possibilities

younger guys
    Jon Leuer
    Hamed Haddadi

Vets ? (hard to know who isn't retiring)
    Tony Battie
    Eric Dampier
    Jason Collins
    Jamal Magloier
    Ronny Turiaf
    Ben Wallace
    Joel Pryzbilla

Journey man
    Sheldon Williams
    Lou Amundson
    Brian Cardnal
    SCAL !!!
    Jason Maxiell
    Craig Smith

some interesting option, I could see Jason Collin being a nice fit or posibly a return trip for Sheldon or Scall (not really)

I'm going to predict that we convince Stiemsma to sign with us for the BAE then fill out our roster with Joseph, Christmas and Dooling.

Melo, Christmas and Joseph will be the in actives.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19
