Some interesting news to come out of the NBA's annual summer meeting.  ESPN's link to the story below:

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8182973/nba-adds-three-additional-uses-instant-replay-2012-13-season

Replay has been added for all flagrant foul calls (previously only called Flagrant 2's), goaltending calls in the late stages of games, and restricted area calls in the late stages of games.

To me, most interesting, is that the NBA will permit small advertising patches on team uniforms starting in 2013-14, which is expected to add $100 million in revenue.  This is a long overdue revenue stream, IMO, as soccer and NASCAR seem to have no problems with it.

Stern also predicts the NBA's "best year ever" (he must have known about us getting Courtney Lee to call it the best year ever) and expressed optimism for the new CBA, profits, TV ratings, gate revenues, and the impending Grizzlies sale.
