Anyone sense a pattern?  Draft em up and ship em out.

AB's the exception.  (talent wise more than anything)

Happy with the return on 2011 class though.

Hopefully Melo and Sullinger can pan out for the long haul.

Still...I wouldn't get a a Celtics tattoo if I were them.
Yup

Maybe Danny will make it more obvious next year, when during the presser for the draft rookies, the jerseys will have the numbers written on them with a post-it note.

For some reason, I don't think many C's fans are losing sleep over any of these dudes.... Well, maybe Moore - he seems to have quite the cult following around these parts.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Did anyone really expect much from any of those guys? Bradley, Sullinger, and Melo are all expected to be huge contributors down the road. Those three were early 20s first round picks. All the others were late 20s or lower.

I like the fact that Danny is willing to trade them a year too soon rather than a year too late.  It's not like it was 20 or so years ago...  These guys are now viewed as "assets" and rightfully so.  What he's done this summer, infusing some talented YOUTH onto this roster, is applauded.  Danny's a good GM, and we have a great coach.  Thankful for the stability this franchise has...it starts at the top.  A lot of other teams can't say this.

rofl ALL those guys in da OP was late 1st round nd 2nd round picks, not lottery picks a majority of heads picked at their position dont last in da league for dat long. i hardly had high hopes for ANY of those guys I was just surprised Jujuan Johnson was a 20/10 player in college

Good point.  TP.

Danny's definitely got a proven track record at this point.  He's done a great job drafting talent with not very good draft positioning and turning those players into even better talent via trade.  That's the method he's used to build this team from scratch.

Yeh, not saying any of them were future stars, it's just unusual to see a GM send his draft picks packing so quickly.

If jjj or Moore tore it up at the summer league, no need then for Danny to make this trade. But they haven't and with Bradley injure there was urgency to get someone good

Wow,  are you saying 2nd round picks are finding it difficult to stick on a team that is one of the top 3-4 feteams in the league every year and is very focused on winning titles?

This is a stunning revelation.

Moore has played very well. JjJ not as much.

Forgot Pruitt. He was in D league last year. The Giddens and Pruitt picks were big disappointments. Perhaps it just shows how much deeper this years draft was.
