I might be in the minority but i never really liked the durant - bynum combo.

You're in the minority. Durant can still operate with Perkins' useless behind as a center. Bynum would be a better defender, better rebounder, and would give a great high-low setup.

You could run the freakin triangle again!

Marc Gasol, Blake Griffin, and Russell Westbrook > then Kevin Durant and Andrew Bynum.

KD Bynum Calderon > Westbrook Griffin Gasol

Naw. Lol. The difference between gasol and Bynum is minimal.

New York

PG - Calderon, (Monta)
SG - Monta, (C.Brewer or Meeks)
SF - Durant, Maggette
PF - Kawhi, (Haslem or Big Baby)
C  - DeAndre Jordan, Mozgov

or,

PG - Calderon, Monta
SG - Kawhi, (Monta)
SF - Durant, (Maggette or C.Brewer)
PF - Haslem, Big Baby
C  - DeAndre Jordan, Mozgov

I think it's the latter.

Unless Monta at PG? But Calderon needs to be in there to help facilitate the offense, right?

I don't think they can use Monta at PG with those players alongside him. The offense would be all over the place. Calderon needs to be in the starting lineup.

I'd like to have a better defender/rebounder at SG in the smaller lineup but I think Corey Brewer is too limited offensively to get the nod. Brewer, Kawhi and DeAndre Jordan together plus a low usage scorer like Calderon. That would create a lot of issues offensively.

Not the best mix. I think more moves need to happen.

Bynum : 35.2 MPG 18.7 PPG 11.8 RPG
Gasol : 36.5 MPG 14.6 PPG 8.9 RPG

This is not minimal

Points and rebounds?

Thats it? What about attitude, durability, passing? Thats a very small picture you're painting there.

It's cool tho bc when we meet in the playoffs I'll have this waiting for you  ;)

The second one is my fav. Puts that laker on the ground. Sorry SO and KC.

If Kane likes his team better now, I guess that's all this is really about.

I've gotta say, though, I thought the Durant/Bynum combo was going to be a top contender.  Ilyasova worked on that team, too.  I think the end result is a downgrade, but to each their own.

Bynum is a liability at the free throw line and somewhat of a blackhole, neither of which Gasol is.

I think a KD/Gasol tandem is better but I agree that the overall quality has dropped.
