I looked hard at this kid. He was great off the bench for the Mavs last season, was alternately ahead of both Haywood and Mahinmi in the rotation at points, though he was an afterthought for Carlisle in Round 1.

Yeah, picked up most of his minutes at center but can play both positions, so I figured it couldn't hurt to have another guy who can fill two slots on the floor. Plus Hollinger's PER was just bananas over him this year.

Also, Roy loves him, so I'm sure I can probably dig up about 30 pages of arguments in his favor from the past four years.

He helped me win a second fantasy championship so I'm not mad.

I agree, the kid has got range. He's no Dirk or Bargs in any way but he's comfortable taking those shots. He's a pretty good rebounder too.

He was most improved in my NBA2k12 Assoc. Mode. he he.

Also, this is just me, but I think he's a very underrated back to basket guy. Knows how to position well and can finish.

Just his intangibles. I'm going to graft those and Hansbrough's scrappiness onto Favors and watch him become a 48 MPG frankenstein at center.

May have had lockout legs. I'm penciling him in for a bounce back season. And to get a shooter of his calibre and a legit 16 point scorer at this point in the draft is a great pick.
