Since the trend is asking folks what they think of their pick, I like to be in as well.
Any thoughts on Anthony Randolph. Anything, it'll really help.
Personally I don't like it, at all, in any shape or form.
Anthony Randolph hasn't produce since he had a handful of great games a few years ago. 2 or 3 years ago this pick would've make a little sense, but now, just not a fan.
Well he had limited playing time. Last year he's pretty decent when he's getting playing time with at least 20 minutes a game. He gets to start in this team.
He rebounds well and shoots well under the rim. Plays good defense and quick enough against face up forwards, and he has length. He's not a consistent mid range shooter but he has it. And he hasn't been in a team for long stints.
He's consistently had limited time on teams that are terrible. There's a reason for that.
Yes. He was part of the David Lee SnT deal so David Lee can get more money. He was playing pretty well on that season by the way.
Before he got traded, he averaged 11.6 ppg/6.5 rpg/1.5 bpg on 22.7 minutes per game (albeit a lowly 44% shooting).
He was part of the Melo deal and that landed him to Minny. He also played pretty well in his stints in Minny, averaged 11/5 on 49% shooting albeit less blocks. As a backup for Love, he gives you 7/4 and a block in 15 minutes on 47% and a PER of 17.60. Not good numbers but not mediocre either for the playing time he's getting.
It's not his fault that teams value him as a good return for their blockbuster deals. In his four year career, on two seasons where he averaged 20 minutes (yes, 20 minutes) a game, he's putting decent numbers. He's not as bad as you think.
