Westbrook + Shumpert + Paul George = terrific defensive unit

Nick I am so mad at you that you did not see he was picked.  I mean it is a total slap in the face to everybody here.  I am appauled

#pileontheoutrage

Blasphemy!!! How dare you draft my starting sg in the 5th round.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I am at a point right now when I really like my team. If you have questions about my team pm and i'll convince you.
I think you have a fun team to watch but are missing the star power to probably win it all.
I would argue the Cousins will be a star in his third year. Other than lack of star power how would you improve my team?

Defense -- both in the backcourt and the frontcourt

I agree here defense is an issue with ryan anderson, lin, kevin martin

I would love to have a strong defensive PF alongside Cousins for the both the good of the team + to help Cousins grow as a defender. Much like Taj Gibson with Brook Lopez in San Antonio. Someone with a lot of quickness and defensive range at PF who can play off of Cousins' bulk and physical power at center.

Then bring Ryan Anderson off the bench. I think that's the best role for Anderson and would be reluctant to start him without a strong defensive C alongside him (because of the combined lack of interior defense).

I would also consider bringing Kevin Martin off the bench. I think Jeremy Lin and DeMarcus Cousins will do the vast majority of the heavy lifting offensively. Wilson Chandler is a fine additional offensive option. I think Kev Martin will find more opportunities coming off the bench.

I'd be looking to bring in someone with a jumper and a solid handle who can play above average defense to start at SG. If it were a SG/SF, that would be great because he could backup W.Chandler at SF too and play alongside Kevin Martin when Martin comes in. Maybe give all three guys around 32 minutes a game if you can land a good enough player there.

That would be what I would like to see this team do.
Faried is more athletic than Gibson so he absolutely has the quickness and athletic range. However I certainly will try to add an athletic defensive big before this is over. Faried also has his highest PER at center (both offensively and defensively) so I think Anderson (who was a top 20 player last year according to several different advanced statistics) could play next to him.

I expect to add some defense later in the draft that should help ease those concerns.

Although Bradley was someone I targeted.

Yeah, I think a lot of that comes down to a difference in opinion over Faried. I am not sold on him yet (defensively or offensively, love his rebounding) and you are very high on him (drafted Faried late 2nd round). Since you rate him that highly, I can see why you would be happy with your team's interior defense.

In that case, I wouldn't pursue another defensive big man for now since Cousins, R.Anderson and Faried will take up almost all of the available big man minutes. Instead focus on adding more depth on the perimeter for the time being and then rounding out the big man rotation later on. I think those areas (on the perimeter) offer you the most added-value to your current team.
Thank you for your advice tp. My plan was to draft Bradley and Tony Allen in the next round, thought they would last.

Quote
Iman Shumpert hopes to be back in uniform and playing a game by January, but the injured Knicks guard said Wednesday that he had no intention of returning until his knee was 100 percent healthy

With their 5th round pick, the Phoenix Suns select Tayshaun Prince

A personal favorite of mine. He was on our list for 5.22.

He's one guy 33-00-32 suggested to me. He would have been perfect and he can let MKG slip in to the 2. Good pick

Prince is a great pick. Every year he slips too far.
