Yup, he's the Monroe replacement. Pretty good Center I should say. Top 8 if healthy, which he will since his injuries are not nagging ones and just bad breaks (no pun). Better defender than Monroe too although less upside.

Bogut has skills, no doubt. I just don't think he can be counted on to stay healthy enough to be the 2nd most important player on a winning team.

His injuries are not nagging. It's been bad luck after bad luck. I can make the case that while I lose upside and better offense, I gain better defense, oh so much better.

Yes, I believe I got back back less value for Monroe, but I wouldn't call it terrible. Bogut is a defensive anchor and pretty solid offensively. His injuries are not recurring, so there's a better chance he stays healthy.
