While reading the article in the Herald on Moore's Sunday Signing status and watching if someone falls out of the sky to play Guard for the Celts that's a better fit, Tyrone Lue's mention hit me a bit differently than it has.

In the dark recesses of my mind I wondered, "I wonder if Tyrone Lue could still play for 10 minutes a night in the NBA?" and that led me to "Hey, I wonder if John Stockton, even at 50, could play 10 minutes in the NBA?"

Wouldn't that be something? I mean I'm guessing there's a body out there, retired within the past few years, that could do something like this at a pretty good level of 1/2 a season for a few minutes a game.

How does something like that work:

1) Contractually
2) Conceptually
3) Chemistry-wise
4) Reality-wise.

I could deal with John Stockton on the floor for the Celtics for 10 minutes a game.

There is a set of these that guys are physical marvels for the most part even at an advanced age.

Just tossing it out there.
