If you only had two roster spots with a BAE and a three min wage

I tossed out the poll out there with the following assumptions:

We have KG, Pierce, Rondo, Avery Bradley, Jason Terry, Jeff Green, Wilcox, JuJuan Johnson, Fab Melo, Brandon Bass, Jared Sullenger (11 players under contract for roughly 68 million which is about 10 million over the salary cap but 4 to 6 million below the luxery tax threshold)

We will carry 14 players to start the season (leaving one roster spot open to start the season).

Courtney Lee is assumed to be not available to the Celtics now that Jason Terry has the MLE spot.

This is to be a fun poll.

Darn you could you only vote for one.... I casted my vote for Semih "Beast of" Erden just for laughs but I think he can give you everything Greg Stiesma does but for less of a price.

I like Leon Powe and Micheal Pietrus to round out my roster (Delonte West is another excellent candidate).

Semih's gone to Europe and Ryan Hollins signed somewhere--I forget where.  I'm hoping for Pietrus, Stiemsma, and Christmas to make up the final three spots. If we can't get Stiemsma, I'll take Sean Williams back.  

 By the way, I'm already counting on Kris Joseph as pretty darn close to a shoo-in to make the squad.

Darko is the one guy on that list that fills a need and of which there aren't multiple players available for that need.  So I would go after him.

Steimsma does as well.  If his feet are healthy I'd take him any day over Darko.  I loved Pietrus and he might be a steal if he got his knee treated by Kobe's doctor as I'd read he was thinking about doing but if we don't get a backup PG then we will need Moore and Christmas to help with ball handling and Pietrus is worse than Ray Ray was dribbling the ball.

I think someone to play the off-guard is a much bigger need than back up point.  Terry is a good ball handler and pick and roll player, probably the best back up PG we've had since Rondo's been around. 

We need Pietrus as a big physical wing defender who can spot up and hit the long ball.  We do not need him handling the ball.

joseph has looked good and solid, sort of a replacement for marquis or maybe mp
greg i guess is signing with minny for more $, if so replace him with darko
love mp and marquis for that matter but not sure how they are going to fit with dollars
sully is a definate, he has outplayed every first and second year player imo

Darko has never filled any needs for any team.   He is tall but only shoots .46% which is not great for a big.  4 RPG is not great either.  He can block shots but he gives you little else.  I like guys with heart and that leaves Darko out sadly.

Also, Joseph is our pick and as far as I know, we don't need to dip into a BAE or vet min for him.
