I'm on board with Pietrus at the BAE. I keep reiterating he is a must for postseason defense and now healthy I'm confident his offense will come back to form this season.

And you all have convinced me again to come back to Marquis. I haven't been able to shake the imagine of Wade crossing him over and getting that wide open look at the 3...  :o but it really is a no brainer at the vet min - he gave us great minutes when healthy two years ago and, last year, he didn't get a chance w/ the injuries and Peaches contributions on D.

Think that's our best case scenario all the way around at this point. Then just remain hopeful KG, Wilcox and Sully stay healthy, and pray Melo can give us some energy and defense at some point mid-season for KG's sake.

I really like the locker room presence that 'Quis has given us and the basketball IQ that he's shown over the past couple of years.  He's a true Celtic in my book.  I'd love to see the team bring him on as a member of the coaching staff when his playing days are done, which if Q. takes a good, hard look in the mirror, he might realize is sooner rather than later.

Moore is going to be the only other guard they have. Can't afford Pietrus or anyone else that is serviceable. Moore will be terry's back up until bradley returns.
he signed for da vets min last year tho lol

Not really... he was also being paid his contract by the Suns, the Vet. Min. was extra (icing on the cake if you will)!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Getting Pietrus to take the bae would be ideal. Daniels is absolutely cooked and done.

I'd much rather we pay Pietrus the non-Bird max instead of the BAE.  The BAE is harsh in terms of the flexibility that you have to add payroll in the future during the season, compared with even the MLE.  Non-Bird rights let him sign for $1.6 instead of $1.9, and don't have the same restrictions.

Give him one year with a one year player option for max non-Bird raises.  After one year, he can decline his option and have early Bird rights so that he can get up to around the MLE level of salary, while if he gets injured, he can exercise his option.  He also becomes untradeable without his consent.

Ray really scuwd us. That's why Danny's so bummed. He didn't have an appropriate backup plan, like trading a future 1st for a 2nd round pick when Doron Lamb, Will Barton, Orlando Johnson, and Kim English were on the board.

Picks were going for pretty cheap, too.
 :'(

I've been watching Summer League...

Doron Lamb would have been perfect for this team..
