No interest in Gomesy. Let him go elsewhere.

Truth bomb.

But yeah unfortunately our current roster doesn't really have room for an undersized 4.  Maybe a sign-and-trade shakes things up but I doubt it.  It's too bad, cause I would love to get Gomes back.

I wouldn't mind Gomes back. We need more players!!

Plus what I like about Gomes is he can play many different positions (2, 3, 4.)

Barbosa yes, Pietrus no.

Pietrus couldn't shoot the side of a barn in the Miami series

And yet he still found his way on the floor as our best option to guard Lebron.

He is a better shooter than displayed - woes were an aberration, not the norm.

And you really just said "Barbosa yes"

I wish you would have said: "Plus what I like about Gomes is he can play many different positions WELL (2, 3, 4.)"

I originally read this thread title in Professor Farnsworth's voice, and then I realized that it wasn't an exact quote, and that the reference wasn't at all intended.

I, like most of us with a soul, love Ryan Gomes.  That said, I'd rather see him end up in a situation that suits him better and can make better use of him than we currently can.

When he's 34, we'll bring him back on a one-year vet. minimum deal to finish out his career as a Celtic.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

You try returning to top form just months after almost being paralyzed in an NBA game.  Peaches' post-injury shooting was sometimes hard to watch, but he will find his stroke again.  Peaches was playing well enough to earn a starting spot early last year (Doc was thinking of making Ray the 6th man and starting not AB put Peaches in his place), I see absolutely no reason why he won't be back once everything else calms down (once the Lee sign-and-trade talk dies).

This is exactly how I feel.

What's the point of this comment? You might as well say, "You try being a NBA player."

Clearly I wasn't asking the poster specifically if HE could do that.  What I meant was that for an NBA player to return to top form so soon after such a horrific incident would have been extraordinary.  Judging MP based on his play in the playoffs would be doing him an injustice.

If we didn't have Green, I would be interested, but I think he would be beyond redundant with our current roster.

Hope he catches on with a good situation though.
agreed, i was accused of having a man crush on him when he was on team, love his all around game and attitude BUT with jeff green on roster and sully along with starters there is nowhere for Ryan on our team
he'll sign somewhere, good solid sub
we need to work on greg, center, sg position not pf/sf
