Edit:I'm not saying part of the news is that the celtics have interest. I'm saying if I'm making choices he gets signed.

Haha, that's hilarious. Not that I'm making fun of your name, cuz I don't know it, but that you met him twice and he not only remembered your name, but remembered to mock it twice.

Gomes can serve us well I believe. Also, he's the nicest dude. Met him like 5 times after games. I remember him in a suit after a game, walking down the public staircases at the Garden, getting swarmed by people and giving everyone an autograph.

I still see him as more of a 4 than a 3.  And given that we already have 2 undersized 4s in Bass and Sullinger (not to mention that Johnson and Green will be competing for minutes at the 4 as well), I don't see the point.

At this point I'd like to see either a true center or a true wing who can play the 2 and 3.  Gomes doesn't fit either bill.

If we can get him for the min (probable), I'd take him gladly, especially if it in someway helps JJJ get traded for Lee (if that's the holdup.)  Otherwise, he's redundant here.  But unlike some former Celtics, I'll cheer for him whereever.
