Danny didnt specifically say it but insinuated the Delonte was part of the lockerroom issues two years ago..
That's my guess, otherwise based on his talent and play level I'd be happy with adding him.

But given that we let him go for Dooling essentially last year I have a feeling that what Rondo2287 says above is the case.

If I recall correctly, he kind of indirectly, directly said that was true. I believe he was pretty specific in saying that they had no intentions of bringing Delonte back.

My only issue with Delonte is that he gets injured very often.

He barely stayed on the court back in 2010-11. Other than that, I think he's a great player.

Plus, with so many free agents getting picked up, it's getting to the point where we'll have to take whatever we can get instead of being able to choose.

I'm pretty sure it was more like Delonte was Plan B, not that they didn't want him back.

I've said that I think that E'Twaun Moore's ceiling is as a Delonte West type player.  So, instead of going after Delonte, just keep ET.  Problem solved.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I would love to have Delonte West back but Danny clearly has no interest otherwise he wouldn't have let Delonte walk last summer.

I also doubt that Delonte would take a minimum contract offer. He should have worked himself off that pay-scale by now given his performances.

I think Delonte would be a great fit for Boston, Ainge should consider this option.

I'd be good with a Delonte, Rondo, JET guard rotation until AB comes back. Delonte is always injured, but as the 4th guard with two solid PG options he's fine.

I don't view the ball handler part as important though - I think Rondo and Jet do that. I do like Delonte's shooting.

I don't see West comming back.  Think his career is near its end, he is too frail.  Bad gamble.

Rather have Quisy

I would take West back.

He has shown the ability to hit the open big shot created by stars at the end of the game.
