With both teams over cap space, how can the Lakers get Nash, Jamison and now maybe Dwight and the Heat get Ray and Rashard Lewis and someone else I forget while the Celtics only land Terry and we supposedly had alot of money this off season while both the Lakers and Heat had none????  Its these teams the have no money who are already good get better that makes its hard to watch the NBA.  Knicks as well! Like really Felton or Lin, Kidd, Carmelo, Amare and Chandler, thats about to be a hard team to beat, and now the Nets as well. Everyone seems to be getting better except us.  I think last season was fools gold, 66 games, Rose and Bosh were hurt and we made it to the ECF and everyone thinks were contenders.  82 games and a year older for our core will not make us a contender for the title.  We have done nothing to get past the Heat.  If anything they are better now with Ray and Lewis.  We are not!! Thoughts???

Larry Coon's salary cap FAQ. It should help with any cap questions you may have.

And I wouldn't be too afraid of the Knicks or Nets.

Its these teams the have no money who are already good get better that makes its hard to watch the NBA.

It happens in all sports (not sure about Hockey since I do not pay attention).  Pats are mentioned as a desired destination every time a decent player is discussed. And baseball is ridiculous with Yankees, Sox, Rangers, Angels getting first dibs on anyone.  It's part the money, part the chance to contend, part the location and part the team's management. But it happens in all sports.

Unfortunately, the Lakers have managed to snag great players in every era since JWest and Wilt.  with great players to build around, being GM there is relatively easy. They have cache, desired destination and are always contenders.  It burns me deeply that they will surpass the C's in championships.  It is inevitable.

Lots of teams improving (Atlantic will be tougher) Knicks, Brooklyn, DC (probably) but Heat and Lakers (only if they get Howard) are the only ones I think give us problems in a 7-game series
