I have gotta say, it would be pretty awesome to get Blatche and have KG kick his butt (and attitude) into shape, but obviously another team will get to him first. He's a bonehead, but is still a seven footer with talent.

I'm sure some other team will talk themselves into this bonehead.

Darko slipped through waivers. Blatche is owed more; I suspect he'll go through too.

If he passes through waivers and we sign him as a back end of the roster guy I am fine with bringing him in.

The key is to sign him as a high upside player who is counted on for absolutely nothing.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

His big issue in the past was that he had a huge salary. There were even threads around here where people thought about taking him on. Brand was just picked up for ~ 2 million. I imagine somebody would be willing to give him that.

If not and I overvalue Blatche, all the better. What better way to improve your image around the league than by playing with KG.

Avoid this guy.

For all the good having KG around Melo, Blatche will undo it.

if he got through waivers he would never elect (for the vet. min) to come to the Celtics have a bench role behind KG, bass, green, and wilcox.  He will go somewhere where he gets a solid 25+ mins a night to prove his doubters wrong then sign another big contract.

He could take Blatche's spot honestly with his talent. Depends on what his relationship with Saunders is like.

Is Blatch even capable of playing center and protecting the paint?

The C's have more than enough power forward depth - Bass, Green, Sullinger, Wilcox, and of course some KG.

Their only true center is Fab Melo.

I would avoid both Blatche and Darko.   Both are chronic underachievers.

I would avoid both Blatche and Darko.   Both are chronic underachievers.

Calling Blatche an underachiever is not really fair he has posted 9pts 6reb for his career. Being the 50th pick in the draft I say thats decent returns. Now if you want to call him underachieving due to his contract size sure, but that isnt Blatche's fault. Wizards decided to pay an mentally unstable kid with OK production the money.

In regards to Darko he should have never been the 2nd pick in the draft. European centers never work out (The great Arvydas Arbonis is the exception). Dumars doomed this poor kids career, he was never meant to be anything else then a servicable back up. his best season came in 2010 with 8pts and 5rebs per game. So I guess he is an undeachiever because he was overrated by a GM not due to talent.

If I were to choose, I would rather go after Robin Lopez before these two. Having said that I would go with Darko over Blatche. Soft athletes are my biggest pet peeve. Mark Blount being the most hated Celtic of all time in my book.
