SG - Johnson, Brooks
SF - Wallace, Stackhouse
PF - Humphries, Teletovic, Evans
C - Lopez, ?

Knicks
PG - Felton, Kidd, Lin?
SG - Smith, Shumpert

PF - Stoudemire, ?
C - Chandler, Camby

CENTRAL

Bulls
PG - Rose, Teague

SF - Deng, ?
PF - Boozer, Gibson
C - Noah, ?

Pacers
PG - Augustin, Hill
SG - George, Stephenson
SF - Granger, Green
PF - West, Hansbrough
C - Hibbert, Mahinmi

SOUTHEAST

Heat
PG - Chalmers, Cole
SG - Wade, Allen
SF - James, Miller
PF - Haslem, Battier, Lewis
C - Bosh, Anthony

And of course for comparison, here are the Celtics

PG - Rondo, Dooling?
SG - Bradley, Terry, Joseph, Moore
SF - Pierce, Green
PF - Bass, Sullinger, Williams, Johnson
C - Garnett, Wilcox, Melo

Now obviously most of the teams will add a player or two to fill out the bench, but that is essentially it.

I would guess that with Rose's injury, Chicago will probably lose the division to the Pacers and Miami will easily have the #1 seed.  After that I think it really is wide open.

Here is my playoff seeding

1. Miami
2. Indiana
3. New Jersey
4. Boston
5. Chicago
6. New York

I am predicting Atlanta and Philadelphia will get the last two spots (losing Brand is the reason I don't have Philly at 6 as I think that is a bigger loss then they realize), but I wouldn't be surprised to see Orlando be in the mix and make some noise if Howard actually shows up and tries, but I wouldn't hold my breath there.  Milwaukee is the team I can't really figure out at all.  I mean I could see them playing really well or being an unmitigated disaster.  I just have no idea there.

I think we will be the 2nd seed. I doubt Williams makes the roster. I can easily see Moore ahead of both Dooling and Joesph in the rotation. I feel that Moore has been running the 1 as an experiment to see if he can do it successfully this coming year. Don't forget we still have the BAE to play with. And you forgot to mention Green in the rotation.

I don't view Indiana as a title threat unless Paul George makes a major leap to All-Star status.

I'm curious to how they'll organize their offense now with their shuffled guard lineup.

Why is Jeff Green not part of Boston's rotation?

Once again people are doubting and downplaying the Celtics. Happens every year and they are always there at the end.

He wasn't listed on ESPN's Boston roster and I forgot that he re-signed.  I have now put him in there.

I have them as the 4th seed.  It wasn't like I had them missing the playoffs.

I just believe New Jersey's younger and generally more healthy lineup (I know lopez has issues, but nothing like boston), will ultimately carry them to a slightly better record than Boston.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Miami is the only eastern conference team I'm not completely convinced we could beat. The Bulls are a threat because their rebounding edge, but I think we can put the clamps on their offense. The Nets will be super dangerous, but I don't think they'll be ready to knock us off in a 7 game series. The Knicks don't seem to know how to play as a team and Indiana doesn't have the star power.
