Ray is a traitor
Ray is evil
Ray is awesome...Thanks Ray!
Thanks for 5 years and a ring
I really enjoyed watching Ray Allen play for the Celtics
I'd have been ok with everything if he went anywhere other than the Heat (or Lakers)
Ray is a bum for taking less money
Ray chose a better situation for himself and that's OK
I will boo Ray given the opportunity
I will cheer Ray given the opportunity
I will silently abstain from either cheering or booing Ray given the opportunity
Ray's not a team player for not accepting a bench role behind Bradley
Ray is a Rondo hater
The Celts will be better off without Ray anyhow
I'll miss Ray
I'll miss Ray's mother more
I'll throw up when I see Ray's mother wearing Heat gear
Ray is a selfish guy
I think Celtics Blog needs a few more Ray Allen threads
Ray will flourish with the Heat
Ray will flop with the Heat
You cut me deep Ray, but I still got love for you (added after 12 votes)
I will cheer you when you return, but after that all bets are off (added afyer 12 votes)

I could vote for many of them. Both good and bad about him.
Peace through Tyranny

Love how my vote is one of the top ones (Throwing up seeing his mom in heat gear).

For me, I am ticked at Ray for leaving. I think he stuck it to our team, took things personally when he shouldn't have, and made a mistake leaving among several other negative things with him leaving.

Having said that I'll never forget the memories and some of the most unbleiveable clutch and awesome shots. Loved watching the Big 3 era and loved the balance of those 3 guys. It's painful but I will cheer if I'm at his first game back and then I will proceed to boo him.

In a few years once he's retired with no more rings (uneless he comes back to the Celtics) I will always be fond of the memoreis

I will cheer you in your return to Boston, then all bets are off.

TP, Redz,

Only 17 of your choices matched some of the feelings I've had about Ray leaving the Celtics.

How about, "All Miami Heat players are the enemy;  Ray Allen is the enemy."
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
How about : I blame Lebron in the first place because he started this whole South Beach hoopla.
I like Marcus Smart

Top thread.

Please let this be the end of the Ray threads (apart from the inevitable "Ray getting fewer touches with Heat [stats included] thread" which is due in ~December).

Maybe there should be a distinction between sports hate and real hate. I have tons of sports hate for Ray. I got only a minimal amount of real hate. I just can't get it up for real hate for Ray. Neither will I try.

In terms of being a good person or something I'll take Ray over Bird any day. And there's no reason to get into that.  A whole nother topic.

Differentiating hate between sports hate and real hate. Nice haha.

But I concur. I probably have more real hate than you do but I still respect him a lot. The Heat are just despicable as a basketball team.

You actually recognize the Heat as a basketball team?  I recognize Calipari's collection of one and dones as a team more than the Heat...even when those kids walk out the door having never attended a class saying "You knew what this was"

Wow. That's harsh haha. But I'm inclined to concur.

Okay, so we all [thank him for 5 years and a ring], and [enjoyed watching him play for the Celtics], but we all agree [he's a traitor] and [we're better off without him].

My question is, when do we finally stop talking about him!?

When the sun consumes all of its fuel and vaporizes planet Earth; not a moment sooner.
