If danny strikes out on his S&T possibilities to try and bring lee here, I think theres 3 guys right now who i think could step in and partially fill bradleys void if his recovery takes us into december

Dionte Christmas, Kris joseph, Et'wuan Moore(to a lesser extent)

Christmas/Joseph have impressed me the most in the summer league...now I know its only summer-league but they have shown poise/skill that you can tell they are better than most of their competition they are going up against..

Joseph IMO is a lock to make the team....I think its a battle between Christmas/Moore

I honestly wouldnt have any trouble with starting Terry and bringing christmas or Joseph off the bench until Bradley gets back.

hey, we found Stiemsma out of nowhere

Depth as in at the (very) end of the bench?  Sure.  None of those guys should go into the season with even a thought at a spot in the rotation though.

I agree. They all clearly have some potential, but we need an NBA-ready starting SG until Bradley gets back.

I agree, Moore and Christmas will fight for that last spot.

I think our roster will look like this.

Rondo Bradley Pierce Bass KevinGarnett
Terry Lee/Pietrus Green Wilcox Stiemsma/Milicic
Moore/Christmas Joseph JJJ Sullinger Melo

My thoughts exactly.

I think Joseph can even play SG if needed; but really like Christmas' toughness and all around game. Moore as a backup PG who can bring some 3 pt range. I like the energy that these guys could bring. Christmas is also strong enough that he can guard larger SF's in a 3 guard lineup.

I would rather have Danny focus on bringing in a quality Center. I don't really see a role for Williams, Hollins or Johnson. Perhaps Dooling and Quis can also be used in a sign and trade.

I think you are forgetting about Paul Pierce in terms of something right in front of us.  We can play Green at SF and slide Pierce to the SG spot.  I don't see any reason why he couldn't play there for up to 20 minutes until Bradley gets back.

This is why I hope we don't "reach" to get either Mayo or Lee.  Either would be a nice young player to add to the mix but we don't want to over spend (either in terms of assets given up or future salary).

I would expect that you would see much more of Pierce at SG over Christmas, Joseph, or Moore, at least outside of garbage time.

Christmas is a chunker and Joseph just is not that talented. And I think Moore will become the back up pg.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Playoffs rotation 1-3 positions are set. Rondo, Terry, Avery, Pierce, and Green. Add Pietrus for depth.

We won't know until he tries it. But I beg to differ.

Which is why if Danny gets a chance to stuff Moore into a S&T deal, he will.

Moore is trade filler or waived.

Yes agreed.  I started the thread called "I don't want Courtney Lee" for just this reason.  Do really need Lee to win #18?  I am not convinced.
