Is the 2012 offseason more game changing than 2010?

After not being on the main sport sites (apart from C's sites), I've missed so many huge moves...

CJ Watson and Ronnie Brewer's options declined
CJ Watson is with the Nets
Mavs get Brand, Collison, Dahntay Jones, Kaman
Michael Beasley and Dragic (back) to the Suns
Nets eating up the huge contract of Joe Johnson
Jeremy Lin likely gone with readdition of Felton and Jason Kidd by the Knicks
Raptors add Kyle Lowry, Fields
Nash to Lakers
Marshon Brooks, Courtney Lee and more still on the block
...

This is supposedly a thin FA class but it seems like with a few teams having their eyes on the prize (Dwight and D-Will), they've gutted their teams and/or made moves that they would not have done otherwise.

On top of that, the draft alone would have shifted power rankings for years to come...



Is the 2010 one overrated with the only real change being the assembly of the divas?

Is this offseason much more game changing?

Is this offseason one of the more impactful ones in recent history? Especially if you include the draft?

Considering the 2010 off-season might have determined the champion for a good number of the next 5 seasons, I'll say no. Quality over quantity in this case.

Also Amare left a good Phoenix team for NY in '10 and Joe Johnson signed that absurd contract you mention getting eaten up by Brooklyn

Killed the Cavs

Killed the Raptors


Turned the Knicks into a playoff team.

Started the end of Phoenix




Changed the way stars wanted to win.  (the desire to be super teams)
