I know a lot of people were real high on him. I'm watching this replay of the Rockets game right now and so far my first impression is im glad we didn't go out of our way to get him. He looks pretty bad, forcing the issue and looks shook offensively, no energy defensively and is getting burned, bricking free throws.

Now it's only one game but the eye test says give me Sully over him any day.

I didn't see the game so I can't comment on that, but I'd imagine that a guy with a history of anxiety disorders might struggle in his first few professional games.

plus, his shooting woes are pretty well known. no surprises there either.

I was never a fan of Royce White and very glad the Celtics didnt trade up to get him.

Melo showed potential to me :\

Plus, one's an undersized 4/ 3 with a lack of speed, the other has all the tools to be a good center.

Melo, is center and they usually take the lonest to develop and also hold their value. Will be 2 years before we'll know about Fab Mellow , he is a beginner period to the game of basketball.

White , seesm to be a bust from intital impression. We were looking at him as player would could contribute this year .

Summer league means absolutely nothing regarding a player's value, skill, or potential.

I preferred Sullinger, and am glad we drafted him, but I don't think we can draw any conclusions yet regarding who will have a more successful career.

wow , White is now a bust because of a poor summer league game?

It was already known that he has to work on his shooting . He more than held his own against many top  lottery talent (Davis,Thomas,Drummond)last season


only on celticsblog can you be a bust after 1 summer league game ..... ::)

What's cool is that we're getting glimpses of Sullinger's ability to do some of what made White look so appealing.

Sullinger is more nimble than I thought, he can handle the ball well, and he can drive to the basket, as well as finding the open man while driving.

Sullinger was stuck at center all through college, but he could have played a point forward role.

Considering Sullinger's vastly superior scoring touch, I couldn't be more thrilled.
