Why are The Knicks trying to get the players they used to have?
(Camby, Felton, and Kurt Thomas)

Well...apparently the trade for Felton is now official.

Guess that means Lin is a Rocket.

Wonder if the offer sheet expected to be offered to Asik is now off the table?  They can't possibly sign both Lin and Asik, and still be able to offer a package Orlando would deem reasonable for Howard.

I can't imagine Houston would have enough cap room to absorb the necessary contracts Orlando wants to send out with Asik and Lin on the books.

After winning over the Asian community with Jeremy Lin, the Knicks now expect to win over fat people with Ray Felton.

btw with Kurt Thomas headed to the Knicks, they're officially older than the Celts... Thomas (practically 40), Camby (38) and Kidd (39) and Amare (practically an old man). All 3 (not counting Amare lol) older than anyone on the Celts roster

He's right behind John Starks and giving Allan Houston a 4 yr 90 million dollar deal, with players options the last 2 yrs

I like this move for the Knicks. I thought it was a shame that they had to move Felton in order to get Amare. That team was much scarier before the deadline with Amare going for 40 all the time and Felton running the break.

Didn't Lin's emergence boost MSG's stock $170 million last season.  They'd be idiots to let him walk, especially with no compensation at all  .  I understand that Houston's offer is back loaded to put a serious crimp in the Knicks' payroll in three seasons, but this is a team that takes in over $200 million in revenue each season.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Wow, I can't believe they won't match the offer sheet. He'll bring them in 100's of millions from Asian fans.
Look at what Yao did for the Rockets.
This is a business after all dang.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

stupid move IMO...the revenue from Lin alone should more than cover his salary..

so you lose an above-average pg for nothing...and then go out and get an average one.
