It seems we are thin at Shooting and Point Guard

At my count we have Rondo and Jason Terry to play those positions at this time. Bradley is out until who knows when and Moore is an unsigned pick doing ok in summer league. We are paper thin at those two positions with just a few slots to fill and and most likely little money to fill them. This troubles me as typically those are positions in today's NBA where a large percentage of your points are produced. We seem to be going right back to the team that could stop anyone but also could not score on anyone. There were plenty of SG's at the end of the first and the start of the second but instead we drafted Fab Melo who could not score on a hooker if he had an Amex Black card in his wallet. I realise I am not a professional at this but am I the only one scratching my head at this?

DA is working, that's why Jet and G8 aren't signed (G8 money probably needs tweaking depending on how we get Terry). We are trying to go for Mayo/Lee. Either way we will have players with Moore and Maybe Xmas/Smith (who DA brought up in an interview).

That will not help us one bit. Come on, how many times can we bring in the retreads? We need athletic guys who can score and finish. Daniels and Sasha are a complete waste of time now.

I'm optimistic Kris Joseph works his way into the rotation, at 6'7" can play both wings.

Where's the love for Peaches?  He was great before that scary injury.  Now that he's had plenty of time to recover why not bring him back?  He's a great guy to have in the locker room.  Anyone who thinks he's unintelligent needs to look past the goofy antics and see that he is a great veteran leader.  AND he is big enough to guard big 2s like Joe Johnson.  Don't dismiss him because of his poor play after that injury- he was clearly a totally different player before vs after. I see no reason why that injury should continue to limit his play after such a long time to recover.

Obviously, I'd prefer Courtney Lee, Mayo, or someone else of that ilk, but MP will come cheap for what he is- a decent spot up shooter and above average wing defender who can provide bursts of energy off the bench and occasionally be called upon to play a slightly larger role (like he did when Bradley/Ray went down last year).

I think there is plenty of love for Pietrus, but he wants more money than we can actually give. If we had his rights, he'd probably be signed by now. If Pietrus wants to come back to the Celtics, he's gonna have to do it at the vet minimum.

Ainge is gonna try pretty hard to get Lee or Mayo, I don't know if either is really going to happen, but I wouldn't put anything past Ainge.

If he can't get either, and Pietrus doesn't want to accept the vet min, look for a McGrady, or Grant Hill like signing. McGrady would start at SG till Bradley gets back, if it's Hill, Pierce would start at SG for a few months and Hill would be your SF.

Moore is not an unsigned pick.  He has a signed contract it's just not guaranteed.  BIG difference...
