Sorry I don't know how reliable this David Lord guy is, but earlier today he reported that Terry was signed and traded for Dooling, Pietrus, Williams, and a pick (didn't say which round but I'm guessing it would be a 2nd).

He goes on to (maybe) refute it because the source may or may not have been reliable. However, if this deal is being worked out, it would definitely explain the delays of the press conference today. Just something I thought I would pass along.

I doubt that. Pietrus said he wanted to be a Celtic.

From Chris Forsberg ‏@ESPNForsberg via Twitter:

Ainge on offseason so far: “As far as our results to this stage, & what our hopes for are in the week to come, I feel very good about it.”

OJ Mayo with Lee as plan B.

I really think Mayo is going to Phoenix. Better money, bigger role. Mayo is the kind of player that values being the star more than being a team player.

If we can get O.J. Or Lee as free agents I will be very happy with where this team is next year. Quickly became a quicker younger team, and with a pretty bright future.

Rondo/Terry/Bradley
O.J. or lee/Bradley/Terry
Pierce/Green/Joseph
Bass/Sully/Green
KG/Steamer/Melo

I love this lineup prefereably with Mayo as the starter over Lee for my personal taste, and also with the hope that Fab just steamah on the depth chart with a stellar rookies season.

As far as the sign and trade, im more than happy with dooling, petey, williams, and a pick for Terry. Esepcially since is doesnt sound like we will be bringing dooling and petey back anyway. Its basically getting terry for a 2nd round pick and extra cap space for an MLE player.

Sounds like the Terry S&T is either too good to be true--or Dallas is at least holding out for a better deal:

"Sources with knowledge of the discussions told ESPN.com's Marc Stein that the Mavericks and Celtics did discuss sign-and-trade scenarios to facilitate Terry's move to Boston early in free agency. But Dallas has since made other plans with its cap space, such as Friday's amnesty claim on Elton Brand, and are thus resistant to taking back Keyon Dooling or Sasha Pavlovic in a sign-and-trade, which would be necessary to make such a deal work."

Awful news but note he did say early in free agency so this could perhaps be just be old news?

Not Peaches or dooling! They are hard working, team players and deserve some love from the organization.

I don't think they can do that with Stiemer and I think some other vet has to be added in to get the salaries up high enough.  Pietrus, a Boilermaker and a pick?

I love Peaches but if he is what Dallas needs to get that deal done then Danny's got to pull the trigger.  Having the MLE to use on Lee or Mayo (or split between several players-Dahntay Jones, Darko, and many other possibilities) will help us a lot more this season than Pietrus can.  And Dooling is also clearly expendable if we can use the deal to  help us get an impact player.
