He came to our training camp in 2010 and got waived, along with Lasme

He also wasn't a heck of a lot better than Lasme in Orlando this week.

***I'll amend that: I see he shot .471 and .450 from the 3, though .625 FT in Orlando this week.

Does this mean we won't get any sign and trades done? Or he's just end of the bench 15th guy ?

Link?  Is this a guaranteed deal?  Anybody know anything about Jamar Smith?

Yes he started his college career with the Univeristy of Illinois, however he had some legal problems (DUI) and ended up finishing school out in Southern Indiana at a D2 school I believe.  He is a very good shooter from long range, decent ballhandler not great and last time I knew a little slight of build.  Definitely woldn't have received a guaranteed contract.

Im guessing its a non guaranteed contract for training camp?
I'm guessing it's a non guaranteed deal for training camp, too. Christmas isn't playing for the C's SL team in Vegas. If he was, and I was Danny, I'd give him a training camp deal, too.

Are you sure, after the game this morning in the postgame interview he said he's going to Vegas.

I think XMas is on either Houston's or Denver's SL team in Vegas.

Jamar Smith was on our D-league team last year, right?

Looks like he played in Europe last year:

15 PPG in 27MPG, lots of 3PTs.

Not bad numbers, although I don't know how strong the play is in Czech NBL?

Sulinger, Moore and Xmas by far the three best players. Joseph close behind. There is a big gap between those 4 and any other players on that SL team. Jamar Smith has not shown that much. Larry Owen looked good in limited minutes; but expect we will see more of him in Vegas.

Nice Job in Orlando; but apart from Sully none of the bigs (Melo, Williams and JjJohnson) looked any good. Johnson plays with zero intensity and did not take it to the hoop once after he got fouled and had a bad fall on a dunk attempt.
