It doesn't get any better for league minimum.

It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Yes, we'll hold.

Yes, we'll hold.

I'd be more scared he'd somehow pull us down and we wouldn't get out of the first round.

Bet he'd love to start for a couple of months too.

So unfortunate what multiple injuries did to this guy. He was one of the superstars of the league before injuries robbed him of his athleticism and explosiveness.

But yea, for the vet's minimum I'd gladly take him.

He's a good fit in a lot of ways but his age and injury history scare me.

We need to sign guys who can play 82 games, and be counted on if (when) our front line guys get hurt.

I do like the idea of him playing a quasi-PG role on offense with Terry as the SG, because they could cross-match on D.

His defensive metrics have been very good for the last couple of years.

If all else fails, I'll take it. Issue is that the man can still ball but isn't consistent anymore. He can score 15 one night, and 0 the next.

I actually don't mind the idea of Pietrus and T-Mac being a fall back plan if Lee or Mayo don't workout

Guards Rondo, AB, Terry, (moore)

Wing   Pierce, Green, Pietrus, T-Mac, (Joseph)

Bigs   KG, Bass, Sullinger,JJJ, Melo

if moore and joseph make the team that leaves 1 spot to be filled by a vet big (wilcox)

Other (younger) options could be

Brandon Rush
Sam Young
Cj Miles
Mavs
Wiz
Hornet

I've thought he'd be a good idea for years.  I'd take Lee first, but wouldn't hesitate for a second to nab him if that falls through.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
I'd say at this point for two guards my preference is
1. OJ Mayo (S&T)
2. Courtney Lee (S&T)
3. Tracy McGrady
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I like him so long as he is willing to accept a third string SF role.

good call, I'd love to have him on vet minimum, even we got Lee,
he's another possibility to defend LBJ and other big small forwards in the east

Sure. He's gotta want to play for a team expected to contend. The Hawks no longer offer that. He played for crappy Knicks and Piston teams prior to that. He might have found some stability after all the injuries, where he can ball at a moderately good level for a little while longer.  . .. ala Grant Hill.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I don't think he can be counted on to stay healthy. However, I'd much rather pay him the vet minimum than give Courtney Lee the MLE(it rhymes :)).
