If they don't sign and trade for him...I guess they feel Moore and co can hold the ship until ab gets back....I guess they would look for a Sg on the cheap. Not confident going into the season with Moore or a scrub starting and playing big minutes until ab gets back

We could send Dooling for 2.6 million dollars. No doubt Dooling would accept that (Like he could get more at this point of his career). But would Dallas accept that? Im sure they could sign him outright for something between vet min and BAE.

If we also send cash, they are essentially getting Dooling for nothing.

They might also think dooling is worth nothing.

I think if we don't sign and trade for Terry or Lee it will be because Dallas or Houston turned down our offers.  Danny is clearly trying to make something happen.  If he can't swing a sign and trade for Lee or Terry soon I'm assuming he will set his sights lower on a player like Dahntay Jones (whom I've heard we have interest in).  We can also always bring back Pietrus [and/or Dooling] for cheap (they definitely want to come back) if all else fails.  Pietrus as our 3rd SG (and spot-starter while AB is out) wouldn't be the end of the world, but Danny is going to explore every other option before going that route.  I'm sure Peaches is patiently waiting to see if we will need him again next year- and we very well might- before seriously taking offers from other teams.

Seeing that Danny still has some things to workout with Jet's contract before hes officially signed, it would seem as though a s&t is very possible

And they can then cut him. The only downside to Dallas is that his salary "counts" towards the Dallas salary cap number, even if they don't pay a dime of it (since BOS sends cash to cover the salary). The downside for Dallas is that it might limit the other offseason moves they can make.
