"Welcome back basketball fans!! This is Rick Kamla, Dennis Scott". How many times during a single broadcast we have to hear that? And his tendency to exaggerate and to kiss everyone's h*ss, specially Scott's...
I'm watching the Summer League games with no sound on my TV just to get rid of his voice. Does it have the same effect on you?

I have fond memories of one of Rick Kamla's first gigs with the NBA - an ill-conceived fantasy basketball call-in talk show. 

So few people knew or cared that the only callers were creepy heavy breathers.

I used to love the fantasy basketball show that Rick Kamla did at around midnight on NBA TV.  as for doing playbyplay I think he sucks

I don't what you are talking about. They have great chemistry. Rick Kamla is bball junkie. He lives, and breathes NBA. Kamla primary job is hosting shows on NBATV. He isn't really a play-by-play commentator. But its the summer league, so who cares.

He can be a bit annoying I agree, but he doesn't seem to worship Lebron and LA like a lot of others do. It could be worse, we could have Breen doing the highlights and saying nothing but "Bang" for an hour.

I never cared for Rick Kamla, but he is such a HUGE improvement over the announcers Orlando had the in the last Orlando Summer League that I have no words grand enough to sing praises.

I am personally grateful not to be subjected to those  imbeciles this year.  Actually, I had said if those insults were doing it again, I could not/would not watch.

I'm a big Kamla fan.  He's like one of us bloggers who gets a gig on NBATV and runs with it.  I've watched a bunch of these games so far, and he's the perfect play by play guy for summer league. 

He knows the players,many of them obscure.  He gives up flavor from the event, letting us know which NBA types are in the gym watching.  he isn't too stuck on himself and seems to always be having a good time watching basketball. 

Scott isn't the greatest color man, but Kamla does a nice job setting the table for him.

I don't mind Kamla. His voice is the only thing that bothers me. It's just kind of naturally obnoxious. He seems to know more than I expected of him. And I feel he's not kissing Dennis Scott's behind. They actually seem like friends.
