So?  You pay Brendan Haywood four years of salary to leave because you signed Chris Kaman for one year?  Why not keep both?  They are going to have to pay Haywood anyway.

They must have something else planned.

They are reportedly interested in Elton Brand, Ramon Sessions, and Raymond Felton.

I'm not sure that I like that plan.
