Dallas Mavericks are going to use their amnesty clause on center Brendan Haywood. He had 4 years left on his contract. Wouldnt mind having him on the Celtics.

Dallas may go after Elton Brand if he gets the ax from Philly. Heck, seems like the Heat are getting everyone so wouldnt be surprise see them get Haywood.

Would have no problem with him in green. He has very nice size and is a prototypical "banger" however his hands are concrete.

Some team will surely outbid us though. Is he worth the Bi annual?

I don't think there is any way he makes it through amnesty waivers without someone putting a bid in.  He is a starting center!

Odd move for Dallas.  There is really nobody to sign with this money.  Why not keep him?

Can't bid with the bi-annual. Only with cap room. The Celtics can't bid. Nor can the Heat.

Someone will bid on Haywood before it reaches the Heat, no worries.

Is this a sign that Dallas have something else lineup? A trade perhaps?

I expect Portland, Indiana, Sacramento and maybe Houston to bid on Haywood.

I am wondering this myself.  They should have more than enough room to sign Kaman.

And I see the same teams as you see being interested.  Houston is tough though, because the timing is everything with them.  The offer sheets to Lin and Asik tie up cap room until they are matched (if they are matched).
