He went to the heat. I say when the heat visit boston, ray gets no tribute. Helped win in 2008 or not, he went to miami. To me, that's just as bad if not worse than if he went to LA. There should be like a petition to not give ray a video tribute.

He was here for 5 years, not for the majority of career like Paul.

Ray doesn't deserve a tribute. His tribute should be getting booed for 48 straight minutes when he shows up.

Perk and Baby for video tributes when they returned...Ray will certainly get one...as much as it hurt to see him go to the Heat...Celtics ownership will take the high road and give him a tribute.

Maybe I'm into the guilt thing, but they should show videos during timeouts of:

1) him embracing his ex-teammates and coaches while he was a Celtic
2) posing with his teammates with the '08 trophy
3) touring the city during the '08 parade
4) the fans chanting "Lets go Celtics" at the end of Game 6 against Miami ( a reminder of what he left and where he went)

and then finish each segment with his mom sitting underneath the basket in her Celtic jersey cheering her son on............all while the fans in the stands are chanting traitor!

Nah, just kidding........ but he does deserve a tribute.  He helped bring the Celtics their lone title since '86.
We all think we know more than we really do....

Perk and BBD were both traded for assets.  Allen spitefully set up his way out of town with no compensation for his former club, in order to weaken them for competitive and spiteful reasons.

No tribute at all.  You're dead to me, Fredo.

He'll get a tribute, and he deserves one.  Don't care how he left, if BBD and Perk get tributes, Ray gets one.  He earned it.  Nothing he did this past couple weeks takes what he did for us away from him.  We should all clap during the tribute too...and then boo him the rest of the game.  We clap for when he was a Celtic...but he is a Celtic no more.

I thought he was a Celtic for life.  Hell no they shouldn't give him a tribute.  Maybe the entire Garden giving him the #1 sign.

Give him an applause and standing O during his tribute video and through a timeout.

Boo the hell out of him when he has the ball and even during player intros.

You do realize they tried to trade him multiple times, right?

Perhaps in an alternate universe Ray was traded and because of that he's still a class act, not the guy who tied to bring down the franchise. Makes you wonder how people come about their notions.

he deserves a tribute, and standing ovation when it's on.

Then, Let's Go Celtics!! all the way until Gino's on the big screen. Celtics have the best crowd in the NBA, and when he regrets his decision, he'll miss our crowd even more. And we love our Celtics, no team deserves to be hated, they're not that important. Ef them, we don't care a lick about the cHeat, boos should go to Stern's boys who robbed us in 2010 and 2012.
