Can someone name for me the last center that couldn't average 10 PPG or 6 RPG in college that became anything but a bust in the NBA?

Even just one player?

Dwight Howard  :P

Serious answer: Greg Stiemsma.

Are we convinced Stiemsma isn't just a one year okay backup already?

Quote
He had 4 blocks a game in the Big East

That might be part of the problem.   I think the Big East is a guard centric conference for the most part.   I do not think Bigs when I think of the Big East.   I think great guards or wings especially recently.  They have had some great bigs over the years but they are not known for it.

JJJ was a defensive player in the big ten too but he can't guard jack in the pros.   College D means nothing I guess.

Bill Laimbeer averaged 7.6 pts and 6.4 rebs for his career at Notre Dame.

Samuel Dalembert averaged 7.1 pts and 5.8 rebs for his career at Seton Hall.

I'd say a one year okay backup still falls under "anything but a bust".  But there are a few other options too if you don't like Steamer.

If there was a standard formula for evaluation and draft order there would be no art of the draft.  Different things affect rate and total numbers, including game pace, competition, and injury.  10/6 is not a bad effort for a wing centered team that, played zone in the ferocious big east.

Can anyone name me another player that got into trouble while playing for Cuse?  I mean Devendorf punched a woman in the face for crying out loud.
