No details, but Stein is reporting it:

Dallas on a one-year contract might make sense.

They have just lost Jason Terry and have no second option behind Dirk. They have a load of cap-space and little options available to them in free agency. They need anyone that can give them a boost + need to make some short-term moves to keep Dirk happy while maintaining their flexibility to make a major move in a year's time.

Great opportunity for Mayo to play a prime role on a playoff contender alongside a great first option in Dirk Nowitzki and in a major market in Dallas. He could really boost his reputation and market value heading into next season ... which are currently quite low.

I like Bayless in Memphis. He had some nice games last season when Calderon went down with injury. He'll be a nice little backup to Conley and can give some minutes at the 2. I'm curious what type of contract Memphis gave him.
