I'd love to hear KG's take on how he would have fared against Lebron when he was in his athletic prime. KG back then would be the ultimate Lebron defender today. 7-0 smart, long, and quick. He would have four inches on Lebron and while Lebron would at times still beat him on the perimeter, KG would destroy Lebron in the post with his length. KG would just shoot over him time and time again. When Lebron was playing the 4 in this years ECF, KG still took him to school on the block.

I feel like if KG was asked that question he would respond, "10 years ago (expletive)? Lets play 1 on 1 today, Ill still (expletive) win." Followed by more expletives.

I think LeBron would have the better of their matchup. LeBron is both quicker and stronger than a prime KG.

Wow KG at his prime is arguably the best defender at any position the league has ever seen, yes counting russell

LeBron right now is playing at a level consistent with the greatest to ever play the game. As much as I love KG, I'd have to go with LeBron over him.

I'll take Shaq in his prime over either one.

LeBron is a beast...I'm assuming he's in his prime right now.

But after viewing these, do you STILL think LeBron would have the better of the matchup?

I love KG. Favorite player of this era.

But Lebron > KG in his prime.

As athletic as KG was back then. He was still a PF. Only in his earlier years could he have played SF.

Now I must say...

In the 2000 Olympics.

KG played every player one on one.....

And owned them.

So I dont want to discount KG's killer instinct.

i watched KG when he came into the league,  he could dominate a game on BOTH ends of a FLOOR .  Amazing to watch one man dominate most teams by himself.  It took a  areally good team like LA to overwhelm him in his prime.

He could block your shot knock it toward s center court and in a about 4 steps grab it slammed it though for dunk ayt the opposite end that the opposing player just thought he had a dunk for sure.  ;D

Lebrick can do it too, but ...but KG was towering and scowling down on his opponents...it was awesome...

It sounds good...but no.

LeBron has been arguably been the best player in the league the past 4 to 5 years.

KG was MAYBE the best once. I understand he was going up against Shaq...but he wasnt better than Kobe the years after.

Look at it this way....KG by the end of his career with the Twolves couldnt even get to the playoffs. Was only out of the 1st round once (not his fault)

LeBron was going to the ECF and the NBA finals with Larry Hughes as his 2nd best teammate once year...and Mo Williams (recently traded Mo who was 3rd sting PG in LA).

LeBron would get the best of KG. However, LeBron would have to earn every minute of it.

As long as we aren't talking 1 v 1 and he has someone to throw the ball into the post, then yep everyday and twice on Tuesday.
