Rashard Lewis signs a 2 year deal with the Miami Heat. Heat is getting better folks with Allen and Lewis. Where the money coming from?

Not a shocker.  The chance to win plus play beside him buddy from Seattle was a no-brainer.

In terms of money, all teams can sign players to minimum contracts.  Rashard is getting paid something like $13 million from New Orleans, so he should be able to get by pretty comfortably.

That's pretty funny. Allen had issues with Lewis when they were at Seattle together. I imagine they still do not like each other very much. Lewis was his Rondo in Seattle.

I hadn't heard this.  Do you have a link?  From what I remember, part of Rashard's reason for wanting to leave Seattle was that Ray was no longer going to be there.

How so? We took them to 7 with the one of the most injury-ridden teams in the entire history of the NBA. Sure, they were missing Bosh (and really missing him) but don't tell me AB, JG and to an extent CW wouldn't have made a difference. Please.

The cost of those luxury tax payments vs the value of his on-court value has surely swung against him now that Rashard and Ray-Ray are on board.

Is it too late for them to do so this season? What is the cut-off date? Next year, perhaps?
